Western Dragons

Physiology

This dragons stature consists of a thick, long body, scaly skin, four stong legs, two bat-like wings, wedge- shaped heads, and long necks. They are usually portayed as fire-breathers but they are, however, known as breathing ice, poisonous chlorine gas, frost, paralyzing gas, gas that causes lethargy, lightning, gas of repulsion, gas that causes fear, and acid. Some breeds of these dragons have been known to be morphlings (shape-changers). Some are even known to have the power used by chameleons to change color to match that of their background. they are sometimes shown as having a spade or spiked tail. They eat but once a month on sheep or oxen, the type of dinner depends on the type of dragon. They have also been known to enjoy the taste of female virgins.

History

When most people think "dragon", they most likely think of the Western Dragon. These beasts are usually portrayed as being evil, mean, and bloodthirsty. They were also known to horde large amounts of gold and jewels hidden in their lairs, usually formed in the side of mountains The most famous dragons that are portrayed as Western-type dragons are told about in the following stories: St. George and the Dragon, Beowulf and the Dragon, and Draco in the movie Dragonheart.
