The Wing

A Dragon has five to six limbs, including the wings. All other known animals have onely four; this includes the following: reptiled, birds, and mammals. The only living creature that has five to six limbs other than a dragon is an insect, and we defifinitely know that a dragon is not a bug. The wings on these ferocious beasts are huge; made up of a leathery appendage found on many species of these animals. The wings of a dragon are usually longer than the body to accomodate the force needed to lift and maintain flight.

Wing Bones

The wing is essentially another arm and hand for a dragon. If you look closely at the skeletal structure of the forearm and claws, you will notice that the wing is basically a very stretched oout version of an arm. Two thick "arm bones", humeras and wing radius, run from the body of the dragon, attaching itself with cartilage and muscle to the "elbow" of the wing. There are usually four to five elongated "fingers" on the wing, each one ending in a claw. One short "thumb" claw is cnnected at the "wrist". The "fingers" then attach themselves to "wrist joints" to form a wing.
